What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a gentle, ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves movement, controlled breathing, meditation, and self-massage.

Who is Qigong suitable for?
Qigong is suitable for anyone (regardless of age or level of experience) wanting to balance and shift energy within their body. As it is such a gentle form of exercise, it is also suitable for anyone suffering with body pain as it can help to release blocked or stagnant energy in areas where pain is being experienced. Steven advises that you only do movements that feel comfortable for you and either modify (sit or lie down) or skip exercises altogether if you feel any discomfort.

Qigong can also greatly assist on an emotional level (in areas such as grief, fear, anger, sadness, and anxiety) by helping to move the energies that may be blocking your progress, thus restoring you to a state of peace and equilibrium.

What happens in a session?
An hour-long session with Steven will encompass some or all of the following: Qigong movement, breathwork, self-massage, mindfulness, meditation, and intuitive self-inquiry, resulting in a personalized program for you to return to.

At the agreed time on the day of your session, you’ll need to click on the Zoom link you received in your confirmation email. You may be held in a "Waiting Room" for a few minutes after which, Steven will start the Zoom session. He will ask you a few questions about what’s happening in your life and with your health and well-being before creating a personalized Qigong session that directly addresses your needs.

How do I prepare for my session?
Please wear loose and comfortable clothing and ideally, no shoes. Please ensure that there is space around you to move freely and that you can clearly see and hear your computer screen.

What is your cancellation policy?
We will always try and accommodate your needs; however, we ask for 48 hours' notice if you wish to reschedule or cancel your booking. If a cancellation is made less than 48 hours before your session, you will be charged the full amount of the session.
